Mark Raezer and Dennis Farrah Subject of Colorado Securities Division Complaints
Have you lost money with financial advisors Mark Raezer and Dennis Farrah of Colorado Falls, Colorado? We are investigating allegations made by the Colorado Division of Securities made against Mark G. Raezer and Dennis M. Farrah. In a January 2018 complaint, Colorado alleged that Mark Raezer and Dennis Farrah sold investments in Madyson Capital Management, a real estate development company, without permission from their brokerage firm, Taylor Capital Management.
Madyson Capital and numerous related entities like Madyson Investments were shut down by Colorado after allegations of fraud surfaced. It was alleged that nearly 80 Colorado residents invested in Madyson Capital and Madyson Investments, amounting to over $13 million invested. Madyson was run by Joseph David Ryan.
To settle these allegations, Raezer agreed to a 60-day suspension from the securities industry, and Dennis Farrah was barred from the securities industry.
Mark Raezer was a registered representative and financial advisor with Taylor Capital Management from February 2015 to January 2018. Dennis Farrah also was a registered representative and financial advisor with Taylor Capital Management from October 2013 to December 2017. They worked out of a branch office in Aurora, Colorado. They also worked with Farrah Tax Advisory Group.
Broker-dealers like Taylor Capital Management have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm, including investments sold by their registered representatives. Broker-dealers also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, such as to refrain from switching variable annuities. When broker-dealers fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
