FINRA’s BrokerCheck shows that Joseph Michael Todd was fired by Centaurus Financial in July 2022. Todd had been licensed with Centaurus Financial since August 2016 and had been in the securities industry since 1988.

Michael Todd’s BrokerCheck report reveals that Centaurus Financial terminated his registration regarding allegations that he engaged in “selling away” – selling investments that were not approved by Centaurus. Todd was also alleged to have received customer funds. BrokerCheck also revealed that Michael Todd failed to cooperate with Centaurus’ internal investigation.

Joseph Michael Todd held securities licenses since 1988. He worked for a number of firms, including Centaurus Financial, Investors Capital Corp., and Edward Jones. He has primarily worked in Crystal River, Florida. Todd has been the subject of three customer complaints, including a recent complaint alleging misrepresentations about a mortgage fund investment. The mortgage fund allegedly lost $100,000.

With securities brokerage licenses, Michael Todd had a duty to follow FINRA rules while working with his brokerage firm. This includes FINRA Rule 3280, which requires brokers or advisor to disclose to their brokerage firms all investments sold by the advisor.
