FINRA’s Disciplinary Database reveals that he was barred from the securities industry in February 2023 by FINRA, because he failed to respond to an investigation.

In December 2022, FINRA requested information from Antoine Souma related to private securities transactions. Financial advisors must get approval from their brokerage firm for every investment that they sell. If the advisor fails to do so, they may be in violation of FINRA Rule 3280.

According to BrokerCheck, Souma had been with Insigneo Securities from July 2020 to July 2022. He had also been licensed with Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan Securities prior to Insigneo Securities. Souma worked in Beverly Hills and Glendale, California.

Mr. Souma was obliged to follow FINRA Rule 8210, which mandates that brokers cooperate in FINRA’s investigations. Likewise, Insigneo Securities must adequately monitor the conduct of its advisors like Antoine Souma. If it failed to adequately supervise Souma or other advisors, the firm could be responsible for financial losses.
