LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA Did you invest with stockbroker Kevin Hobbs in Lake Worth, Florida? In March 2023, Hobbs was barred from the securities brokerage industry, because he failed to respond to an investigation.

FINRA initiated its investigation into Kevin Hobbs after a customer filed a complaint in 2021. The customer alleged that Hobbs traded in the customer’s account at a firm where Hobbs was not registered (as Hobbs was registered with PFS Investments at the time). Hobbs refused to fully cooperate with FINRA’s investigation, which led to his expulsion. Hobbs has also been the subject of six customer complaints, three of which were filed since 2021.

According to BrokerCheck, Kevin A. Hobbs had been with PFS Investments (part of Primerica) from January 2001 to October 2022. Hobbs had worked in Lake Worth, Florida.

FINRA Rule 8210 provides that representatives like Kevin Hobbs are required to respond with FINRA investigation. Additionally, PFS Investments must adequately monitor the conduct of its advisors like Kevin Hobbs. If it failed to adequately supervise Hobbs or other advisors, the firm could be responsible for financial losses.
