The Law Firm of Israels & Neuman is looking into allegations made against Robert Spencer, from Cheektowaga, New York. Robert Spencer was under investigation by FINRA, which regulates the securities brokerage industry. Spencer was alleged to have engaged in private securities transactions, which generally are not allowed except with prior permission from the representative’s brokerage firm.

Cetera Advisor Network, the brokerage firm that Spencer was affiliated with from September 2013 to August 2021, had an obligation to reasonably monitor Spencer’s conduct. Cetera Advisor Network also has a responsibility to regularly audit his branch office in Cheektowaga, New York. Spencer also had an obligation to disclose any private securities transactions to Cetera.
