Sullivan was fired by Aegis Capital Corp. in July 2022, according to FINRA’s (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) BrokerCheck. The reason for terminating Sullivan’s affiliation with Aegis Capital Corp. was for “multiple allegations of unauthorized trading”.

In addition to being fired by Aegis Capital Corp., Sean Sullivan was also criminally charged with first degree burglary in March 2022. Sullivan has also been the subject of two customer complaints since 2020. One case settled for $145,000.

Sean Sullivan was a financial advisor with Aegis Capital Corp. from November 2015 to July 2022. Sullivan started working with Spartan Capital Securities in July 2022 despite these allegations. Sullivan worked at Aegis’ office in Melville, New York.

FINRA rules require that firms like Aegis Capital Corp. reasonably supervise advisors like Sean Sullivan. If the firm fails to follow these rules, they could be responsible for investor losses.
