FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) barred Clark from the securities industry after Clark failed to respond to its investigation. FINRA was investigating Clark after he allegedly sold investments without permission from his former brokerage firm, Madison Avenue Securities. He also allegedly failed to disclose a prior bankruptcy.
Bryan Clark was a financial advisor and registered representative of Madison Avenue Securities from June 2015 to August 2018. He was also affiliated with LPL Financial from June 2010 to May 2015. He worked in a branch office in Atascadero, California. Clark was the subject of three customer complaints. Clark was also a vice president of Preservation Capital Group.
Brokerage firms like Madison Avenue Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.
