Eric Simonds Suspended by Maine for Selling Woodbridge
Have you lost money investing in the Woodbridge Group of Companies through advisor Eric Simonds? Eric Simonds from Brunswick, Maine, was under investigation by the Maine Office of Securities for selling investments in the Woodbridge Group of Companies to his customers. Maine recently suspended Eric Simonds from the securities industry for 45 days, alleging that Simonds sold investments in Woodbridge without him or his advisory firm, Saltwater Harbor Financial, having proper licenses to sell securities.
Eric Simonds was an investment advisor with Saltwater Harbor Financial from April 2013 to July 2018. He worked in an office in Brunswick, Maine.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a complaint against the Woodbridge Group of Companies, alleging that this amounted to a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme. The SEC is concerned that Woodbridge may have sold unregistered securities and may have made material misrepresentations in connection with selling its investments to investors.
