Have you lost money with financial advisor Ignacio Erhart Del Campo from Montevideo, Uruguay? We are looking into allegations made by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) against him. FINRA suspended Ignacio Erhart Del Campo from the securities industry for two months, gave him a $7,500 fine, and ordered him to pay $19,189 in restitution. He was also alleged to have made 77 unauthorized trades in a customer’s account, after the customer had died.
Ignacio Erhart Del Campo was a registered representative and financial advisor with Insigneo Securities from July 2017 to September 2019. Erhart Del Campo was also with Northeast Securities from June 2012 to July 2017. He worked out of a branch office in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Broker-dealers like Insigneo Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm, including investments sold by their registered representatives. Broker-dealers also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations. When broker-dealers fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
