INVESTOR ALERT! Curtis Randle El – Pittsburgh, PA
Curtis Randle El from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Suspended by FINRA
Have you lost money with financial advisor Curtis Randle El of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Curtis C. Randle El, who is believed to be the brother of former NFL player and Pittsburgh Steeler Antwaan Randle El. FINRA alleged that Curtis Randle El effected short-term trades of Class A mutual fund shares and Unit Investment Trusts (UITs) for three elderly customers with conservative investment objectives without having a reasonable basis for doing so.
“A” shares of mutual funds typically have upfront commissions of 2% to 5%, and Randle El was recommending that his clients trade the Class A mutual fund shares and UITs on an average of 60 days. FINRA alleged that this caused losses to the investors. As part of this investigation, Curtis Randle El was suspended from the securities industry for 3 months and had to pay a $5,000 fine.
Curtis Randle El is a financial advisor and registered representative of Cambridge Investment Research from November 2011 to November 2014. He worked at branch offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Curtis Randle El was fired from PNC Investments in June 2011 for allegations that he signed a client’s initials on a form.
Curtis Randle El also played cornerback at Indiana University with his younger brother, Antwaan, who played quarterback for Indiana. Antwaan primarily played wide receiver while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins.
