INVESTOR WARNING! Joshua Mosshart and Enviro Board Corporation

Investigation of Joshua Mosshart and Enviro Board Corporation

Have you lost money with financial advisor Joshua Mosshart of Westlake Village, California?  We are investigating allegations made by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Joshua D. Mosshart. The SEC filed a complaint in the Central District of California in Los Angeles against Josh Mosshart, Glenn Camp, and William Peiffer for their involvement with Enviro Board Corporation.

According to the SEC’s complaint, Camp and Peiffer were the founders of Enviro Board, which was purported to be a company that made environmentally friendly building materials.  However, Enviro Board was never profitable, and the Defendants were alleged to have made misrepresentations regarding the profitability and viability of the company.  Moreover, investments in Enviro Board were not properly registered.  Josh Mosshart was alleged to have sold investment offerings of Enviro Board.

Joshua Mosshart was a financial advisor and registered representative of LPL Financial, LLC from 2004 to December 2012.  He worked at a branch office in Westlake Village, California.  Mosshart has been the subject of at least three customer complaints.  He was also barred by FINRA in 2012 for this conduct.

Brokerage firms like LPL Financial have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
