TINA MARTINEZ of Farmers Financial Barred for FORGERY
Tina Martinez, formerly with Farmers Financial Solutions, Barred from Securities Industry
Have you lost money with financial advisor Tina Martinez of Yakima, Washington? The law firm of Israels & Neuman is investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Tina Marie Martinez. FINRA barred Martinez from the securities industry after she failed to respond to a FINRA investigation. FINRA was investigating Martinez after she allegedly forged life insurance policies without the consent of the insureds and caused insurance customer funds to be used to pay for her insurance agency’s commercial insurance policy.
Tina Martinez was a financial advisor and registered representative of Farmers Financial Solutions from 2009 to May 2018. She worked at branch offices in Yakima, Washington. Martinez was also terminated by Farmers for this alleged conduct.
Brokerage firms like Farmers Financial Solutions have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
