Lynn Cawthorne, Formerly with Cambridge Investment Research, Barred by FINRA
Have you lost money with financial advisor Lynn Cawthorne? We are continuing to look into allegations made about Lynn Dale Cawthorne from Shreveport, Louisiana. In August 2020, FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) filed a complaint to bar Cawthorne from the securities industry. FINRA alleged that Cawthorne failed to respond to its investigation after he was indicted for wire fraud in the Western District of Louisiana. In November 2020, FINRA barred Cawthorne for failing to respond.
Lynn Cawthorne was a financial advisor and registered representative of Cambridge Investment Research from April 2013 to September 2018. He worked in a branch office in Shreveport, Louisiana. Cawthorne was also terminated by Cambridge Investment Research regarding these allegations.
Brokerage firms like Cambridge Investment Research have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.
