WARNING! Impending Investigation: NEWPORT COAST SECURITIES and AARON HEIMOWITZ

Aaron Heimowitz and Newport Coast Securities

Have you lost money with financial advisor Aaron Heimowitz of Kew Gardens, New York?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Aaron Heimowitz. FINRA alleged that Heimowitz sold investments to his clients without permission from his brokerage firm, Newport Coast Securities, which is against FINRA regulations and firm policies.

FINRA alleged that between 2008 and 2011, Aaron Heimowitz sold investments to his clients in a gold mining company, whose CEO was Heimowitz’s son.  FINRA alleged that Heimowitz also sold investments in a renewable energy company, and that he bought gold and silver coins and sold them to investors.  It was alleged that Heimowitz sold these investments without authorization from Newport Coast Securities.  To settle these claims, Heimowitz agreed to pay a $15,000 fine and a seven month suspension from the securities industry.

Aaron Heimowitz was a financial advisor and registered representative of Newport Coast Securities from April 2008 to June 2012.  He worked at a branch office in Kew Gardens, New York.  Heimowitz has at least six customer complaints on his record.

Brokerage firms like Newport Coast Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
