Landon Williams, formerly of Merrill Lynch, Subject of FINRA Complaint
Have you lost money with financial advisor Landon Williams of Jacksonville, Florida? We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Landon L. Williams. FINRA is investigating Landon Williams regarding allegations that he made false and misleading representations to customers in connection with the sales of securities during 2014, while he was affiliated with Merrill Lynch.
Landon Williams was a financial advisor and registered representative of Merrill Lynch from August 2013 to August 2014. He worked at a branch office in Jacksonville, Florida. Williams was terminated by Merrill Lynch regarding allegations that he failed to make disclosures in connection with mutual fund sales.
Brokerage firms like Merrill Lynch have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
