The Law Firm of Israels & Neuman is looking into allegations made against financial advisor James Jones from Jasper, Indiana. James Jones, who has been affiliated with Center Street Securities, was the subject of a customer complaint, who alleges unsuitable investments in “alternative” investments. The alternative investments were allegedly illiquid, high risk, and caused $400,000 in damages. The complaint was filed with FINRA.

James M. Jones is now affiliated with Capital Advisor Network as a registered investment adviser, and he has been registered with Center Street Securities since May 2011. Jones operates out of an office in Jasper, Indiana.

Center Street Securities and its advisors have obligations to make suitable investment recommendations pursuant to FINRA Rule 2111. The firm and advisor also have duties to perform adequate due diligence into any investment sold by them. Breaches of these duties can result in financial liability to customers.
