Israels & Neuman is reviewing allegations made against Craig McDaniel, who has been affiliated with Capital Investment Group since 2004. McDaniel worked in a Columbia, South Carolina office.

FINRA’s BrokerCheck discloses that Craig McDaniel was the subject of two customer complaints – made in November 2022 and January 2023. Both complaints allege unsuitable investment recommendations to invest in GWG Holdings. The January 2023 complaint involves five separate customers who invested in GWG.

GWG was a company that invested in insurance policies, and it carried significant risk. GWG Holdings later filed for bankruptcy protection in April 2022. If a recommendation to invest in GWG L bonds was unsuitable for a customer, then McDaniel and Capital Investment Group could be responsible for any investor losses.
