]]> Linda Wimsatt, Formerly with Westpark Capital, Part of Three GWG Cases CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA Did you invest in GWG L Bonds with stockbroker Linda Wimsatt, formerly with Westpark Capital in Carlsbad, California? Linda Wimsatt was a licensed advisor with Westpark Capital from November 2017 to October 2020. She now works for American Trust Investment Services.

Since October 2022, Linda Wimsatt has been the subject of three customer complaints, all of which involve the sale of GWG L Bonds. The customers allege that the GWG L Bonds were unsuitable in each of the three cases. Westpark Capital has been named as a party in each of the arbitration claims.

When a financial advisors recommends an investment to a customer, the advisor and/or her brokerage firm have a duty to conduct reasonable research into the investment so that the advisor knows whether the investment is appropriate for that investor. A failure to abide by these obligations could be a violation of FINRA Rule 2111, which is in regards to suitability. Financial losses that result from such violations may be recoverable by investors.

Israels & Neuman currently represents several investors that have lost money in GWG L bonds. We also have represented investors in the past against Westpark Capital.
