According to FINRA’s Brokercheck (see his BrokerCheck report below), the SEC is investigating whether he may have failed to comply with the care obligation of Regulation Best Interest. The investigation began in August 2023. The SEC disclosed that the product involved was “debt-corporate” but did not specify if GWG L Bonds were involved.

Since October 2015, Michael Hamilton has been a representative of Centaurus Financial. He works in a Fort Myers, Florida office, where he also runs Hamilton Wealth Management and Eagle Tax Group.
