FINRA’s BrokerCheck discloses that a customer filed a complaint alleging $5 million in damages arising from an investment in a Uruguayan biorefinery. The customer alleges that the biorefinery investment was unsuitable and was also alleged to have been “sold away”, meaning that he did not have permission from UBS Financial Services to sell this investment. The complaint was filed in early June 2026.
