Allegations Regarding Nate Goad’s BrokerCheck Report

According to BrokerCheck, a website maintained by FINRA, Nate Goad has been the subject of five customer complaints since 2025.  The complaints allegedly involve private investments he recommended between 2022 and 2025. These may include investments in Key City Capital (or KeyCity Capital). 

Background on Nathan Goad and Stephen Patterson

Mr. Goad has been licensed with J. Alden Associates from January 2022 to the present at a Largo, Florida office.  Stephen Patterson has also been licensed with J. Alden Associates.

Can J. Alden Associates Be Responsible for Their Advisors’ Conduct?

Under FINRA Rule 3110, broker-dealers like J. Alden Associates must reasonably supervise the activity of their advisors.  J. Alden Associates could be responsible for investor losses if there was a failure to supervise the advisors.
